Success + Photo

Yesterday was one of those days that just basically just dumps on you for the majority of the time. Definitely not the greatest of days but it quickly started looking up when my hubby called letting me know that we are going to be ready to sign papers and move into OUR very own home in 2 weeks. AMAZING!!! We put an offer in around the end of October and we’re finally going to get it. It’s almost surreal but we’re both extremely happy and ready to get nesting in our own little place! So that was good news and then I went home and decided to snap a couple of photos of me to see how I was doing with progress and everything. I got one good one that I will share…the others were too dark or too bright (ew) or a weird angle. Excuse the background of our messy room as well but here I am flexing the abs – and may I just say I am really happy?? You might have seen my progress photos on the Before Meets After tab on my site from last summer but the background story on that is I reached my goal and I was really excited but then after my friend’s wedding, I stopped working out for a few months, gained weight, lost muscle…the whole shabang. So this picture makes me quite proud!





I have a ways to go but I don’t care, right now, I’m doing the happy dance! I tried to get some good front view but you can’t really tell because of the lighting so it just looked weird but eventually I’ll show a good front view of the abs when I get there. But onto the next bit of good news is I lost 3 lbs!!! That doesn’t seem like a ton – well because 3 lbs isn’t a ton but for me it’s a big deal because I’ve been at this stupid plateau for MONTHS and I wouldn’t lose or gain weight (which I’m ok with the latter but still). Also I know it’s not just water weight because I’ve been working out so hard and eating really well and I haven’t seen this low of a number for a long time so this is the real deal folks! I will eventually have my hubby take progress photos of my arms as well because I’ve seen a lot of progress therein the last month so there will be more to come!
So last night, after my day of being dumped on, I hit the gym and worked out (chest and triceps) for a full hour and let me tell you, if that isn’t therapy then I don’t know what is. Today I’m meeting Laura for another great workout so I’m pretty stoked about that.
